New Year, New Resolutions

Happy New Year Everyone!  :D How was festivities?  As you are reading this I’m at the office yapping my mouth off! :(   Yes!  I’m working at this very moment.  I miss my wife’s cooking, my 3-year old son’s second attempt at fireworks, just small noise makers mind you.  ( I hate playing with fireworks!  Unless it’s a different kind of fire to play. ;) )

Anyway, many people starts or rather spends a few days before the start of the year to write their New Year’s Resolutions.  I’m merely human so I write mine as well.  Although I never really get to follow what I wrote, (as I’ve said merely human) still I find it therapeutic and who knows?  This may be the year that I’ll succeed in finally quit smoking for good.  Quitting is easy;  I’ve done it 4 times. ;)

So here goes:

1.)  QUIT SMOKING!!!!!!! I have made plans to stop smoking today.  I will give n update regarding this.  I have been trying to quit this habit for almost 3 years now.  This will be my 5th attempt and hopefully I’ll be strong enough.

2.) Be a better husband and father to my wife and son.  I’m not a bad husband and father, but there’s always room for improvement!

3.)  Save some for the rainy day.  I’m guilty of not saving a dime from my salary.  I can’t stick to a budget :(   But!  I will make sure to save some money this year.  Apart from the fact that my boy is going to school this June.  It’s still easier to be a little laid back if you know that you have a few bucks to depend on when someone get sick, or just have money when you needed it.

4.)  Work harder!  I will do my best to pass all metrics at work.  I do work in a call center.  As I said before “Getting a job in the Industry is easy, but keeping the job is a different story.

5.) No more attendance violation!  I never missed a day of work because of laziness.  Of course I take vacation leaves.  But I had never attempted to skip work!  But there is a little problem with being late and tardy.  I average 2 late arrivals a month.  I will do my best to be on time for work everyday for the rest of the year.

6.) Try to help my parents and brothers in some way.  Because of a little financial problem this year due to bad investments. :(   I was unable to help my parents and/or brothers as often as I wanted to.  So I hope to improve it this year.

7.) MOVE OUT of MALABON!!!!!  I’ve been residing in Malabonsince 2004.  I want out!  The city never grew on me, and I’m really fed up with the floods and my neighborhood.  Gambling in every corner in front of the SCHOOL.  Ugh!  Noisy and nosy neighbors! I wasn’t raise with a silver spoon, but I was raised in a subdivision in Caloocan.  So It’s still difficult for me to stand.

There it is folks!  My New Years Resolution for this year!

Wish me luck!!!
